Skincare Post Pandemic
Skincare and the Pandemic effects..
We all have
now come to a stage where the pandemic is becoming a norm in our fast life. The
current situations have driven us to be more specific and anxious to visit the
places which are most essential and at most part of our daily life. Be it
salon, parlors, supermarkets, malls etc.
Due to
this, our parlor visits and self-care has taken a back seat and we women are
constantly looking to take care of ourselves at our home with the available
ingredients in the kitchen or in our skincare stash with the multiple products
that’s lying.
Over a
period since the pandemic started, many started exploring the natural way of
using products and adopt the better lifestyle while working from home. We have
been blessed with the ample time to learn and unlearn new things, get to know
what is right for our skin, what doesn’t suit or which product is a failure.
Thanks to our social media bloggers who have always made efforts to bring out
the best product recommendations and give us more knowledge about the industry
and the brands.
Likewise
few people who are very conscious in their skincare and how they dealt with
this Covid situations is what we would like to hear.
“The
start of the pandemic coincided with the delivery of my baby boy, and well
hello! post-partum skin! I have simplified it to the absolute essentials’ aka
cleanser, moisturizer, lip balm for the day, cleanser, and serum + moisturizer,
lip balm for the night. My skincare time is a way for me to just take 10
minutes to myself and I don't skip out on that at all.

This pandemic gave me best time to take care of myself
and know more about body & mind, so I just followed simple skin care
tips from kitchen garden
1. Turmeric + curd + honey face mask
2. Rose water for face
3. And drinking fresh juice, eating veggies
4. Drink water to keep myself hydrated
So, these are the things I have kept doing as a routine.
Being patient & consistent is the key to achieve some good results
to skincare. I never use cosmetic unless it’s very important to know your skin
type and work on the chemical free products so that you can get better results.

1. Read the ingredients list.
2. While most of the bloggers specify as to the products suits for which skin type. So be careful on reading their description before jumping to place orders.
3. Do your own research about the products online, check with your friends who has the same skin type, analyze it and then buy it.
4. Always do patch test and wait for 48 hours for the product to react.
Here's another skincare formulator who tells us about her experience.
"With the pandemic not going anywhere since the year
2020, skincare might seem like the last thing on your mind. Constantly washing
and sanitizing can take a toll on your skin especially your hands. That's why
taking care of your skin can be a part of your daily routine and not something
just limited to the pandemic. A simple CTM (cleanse, tone, moisturize) routine
is sufficient to pep up your mood as well as your skin at the end of a hectic
day. Following a simple hand care routine can be as simple as moisturizing the
hands before you call it a day.
Skincare during the pandemic can be considered as a luxury
especially for the people who can sit comfortably at home, order skincare
products and indulge in them. However, that's not the case with everyone. Let us
indulge into skincare while being responsible towards the environment without
hoarding many products."
